Ilala Metals is an Australian exploration company specialising in uranium, copper and lithium exploration in Botswana and Namibia, two of Africa’s premier mining destinations. What sets Ilala apart from other junior explorers in the region is the quality of its assets and its strategic approach to resource exploration.
Ilala is well-positioned to capitalise on rising uranium and copper markets with a 100% stake in two flagship assets: the Serule Uranium Project and Central Copper Project.
Both projects are located in highly prospective areas, with the Serule Project immediately adjacent and down-dip of Lotus Resources’ 118Mlb U3O8 Letlhakane deposit, and the Central Copper Project close to the heart of the zone of most discovery in Botswana’s famed Kalahari Copper Belt. These two projects in prime mining locations in Botswana set Ilala apart from many other junior explorers in the region.
The Central Copper Project is within the main axis that has delivered a combined Mineral Resource of 166Mt @ 1.9% Cu within the ‘Khoemacau Cluster’, a grouping of large high-grade copper deposits which supports Khoemacau’s mining operations which are ramping up to 130ktpa copper production. Geophysical work has defined drill-targets for 2024.
Additionally, Ilala holds a large portfolio of other quality copper and uranium projects totalling 16,500km2 as well as an application for a lithium-tantalum project in Namibia.
